Job Description:

SSAI is seeking an experienced Administrative Analyst to support several of our NASA contracts. The successful candidate will perform general administrative support including: coordinating employee travel while adhering to Government and company travel regulations and budgets;  researching travel options and providing final itineraries; developing travel cost estimates; booking flights, hotels, cars, and all other travel-related activities; tracking travel expenses, preparing and tracking travel reimbursements; preparation of reports and other contract deliverables; meeting coordination and logistics support; records maintenance; eDAA documentation submittals; collection and submittal of information necessary for staff to obtain security badges to the customer worksite, and procurement of office supplies. Occasional travel between SSAI headquarters and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is required.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of four (4) year of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will possess a professional manner and a willingness to learn, a "can do" attitude, and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff.  

In addition, the successful applicant must have the following skills/qualities:

  • Highly proficient using the MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) in a Windows environment
  • Must be friendly and customer service oriented with outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Excellent basic math skills
  • Adept at learning to use new web-based applications and willingness to learn new skills
  • Good organization skills coupled with attention to detail
  • The ability to successfully multi-task in a dynamic office environment
  • Strong ability to read, interpret and communicate policy, procedures, and instruction manuals
  • Effective verbal communications with groups of employees
  • Ability to write, proofread, and edit non-technical reports and correspondence
  • Excellent ability to establish effective working relationships and rapport with staff, customers, and corporate departments
  • Understanding of travel policies and Federal Government regulations
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with government travel regulations and Goddard Space Flight Center administrative procedures and systems (IDMAX, NAMS, NCTS) is desirable
