  • Specializing in Earth Science data analysis and informatics
  • ASDC discipline areas are focused on clouds, aerosols, radiation budget, and tropospheric composition.  General science knowledge/familiarity for these areas, metadata holdings and how they relate to each other and the science community
  • Addressing science community needs for accessing and using data including geospatial representations, science discipline based ontology and faceted based searching, and advanced data analysis tools
  • Facilitate the usage of multi-mission data with ASDC partners and supported science teams
  • Collaborate with other DAACs in science-related efforts
  • Continuously identify needs associated with data provenance and work with ASDC personnel and science community to ensure effective capture and management of provenance data for ASDC data holdings
  • Understand the implementation of technology related to exploiting ASDC data holdings
  • Communicate with ASDC science customers to ensure issues are identified and the ASDC maintains alignment with science community needs
  • Research experience includes multi-mission data analysis (e.g., inter-comparisons, data quality, data fusion) and sensitivity analysis for global and regional assessments of aerosol, clouds and other atmospheric parameter
