AERONET Team's Research Featured in COP26 NASA Hyperwall Presentation
On November 10 at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow, research by the SSAI-led AERONET Team from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center was featured as part of a NASA Hyperwall presentation entitled, “How Do We know for Sure About Atmospheric Aerosols? Ask AERONET!"

For more than 25 years, the AERONET (AErosol RObotic NETwork) project team - supported largely by SSAI staff including David Giles, Amy Scully, Anthony LaRosa, Ilya Slutsker, Alexander Smirnov, Joel Schafer, Aliaksandr Siniuk, Mikhail Sorokin, Arsenio Menendez and Jason Kraft (Fibertek) - has worked to bring together various ground-based remote sensing aerosol networks from national agencies, institutes, universities, individual scientists, and partners around the world. The project has provided a long-term, continuous and readily accessible public domain database of aerosol optical, microphysical and radiative properties for aerosol-related research.
