SSAI was awarded a 2021 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award in recognition of our commitment to recruiting, employing, and retaining America’s Veterans. 

The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Medallion Program is based on the HIRE Vets Act of 2017, implemented to encourage employers to formalize and share their efforts to recruit, employ, and retain our nation’s heroes. The annual HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal award recognizing exceptional achievement in veteran employment.  

The Program’s director, Randall Smith of the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), praised SSAI’s “exemplary efforts in recruiting, employing, and retaining our nation’s veterans.” He further added, “By meeting the criteria required for a Gold Medallion Award, SSAI demonstrated both patriotism and recognition of the value veterans bring to the workplace.” 

SSAI was honored on November 10, 2021 at a virtual ceremony hosted by the HIRE Vets program office at the Department of Labor.
