SSAI Welcomes Frank Peri as Director of Engineering
Results driven with a passion for mentoring, Peri brings over 35 years’ experience leading advanced engineering development and scientific research. With a demonstrated ability to execute complex programs, manage resources, and establish partnerships for strategic relationships between stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, he is deeply committed to cultivating a diverse workforce.
Before transitioning to the private sector, Peri served as the Director for Safety and Mission Assurance at NASA Langley Research Center, notably leading the Center’s COVID-19 health and safety response as well as managing mission and product assurance activities. In his previous role as the Deputy Director for the Engineering Directorate at NASA Langley Research Center, he implemented measures to reduce operating inefficiencies that resulted in over $1M in cost savings. Building on a long history of contributing to various engineering, exploration research, and technology programs at NASA Langley, Peri served as Program Director for the Earth System Science Pathfinder (ESSP) Program and directed the Exploration Technology Development Program (ETDP) for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (EMSD), overseeing development of advanced technologies for human space exploration.
Frank joins SSAI at an exciting time in our company history and plans to help further position SSAI as a leader in engineering support to government and commercial businesses.
