Expanding the AERONET network, one instrument at a time
SSAI’s David Giles (from NASA’s AERONET program out of Goddard Space Flight Center) recently visited the San Jose campus of the University of Costa Rica and trained members of the Ticosonde project to align and maintain their new AERONET instrument on the roof of the university’s Gas Lab.

SSAI’s Lucia (“Lucy”) Lee serves as the Ground Systems Manager for the Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations (CALIPSO) Mission Operations Control Center (MOCC) at NASA Langley Research Center. In recognition of her continuous display of dedication, professionalism, and her pioneering spirit, Lucy was honored with the NASA Exceptional Public Service Medal.
