Leadership Bios - Rachit Mahajan

Rachit Mahajan, Chief Financial Officer

Rachit joined SSAI’s leadership team in 2021 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him decades of experience in the areas of finance, government contracting, business, and taxation. With an educational background in finance, taxation, and commerce, Rachit has already applied his knowledge to improving legacy accounting systems and processes and looks forward to continuing to help the company grow.

Leadership Bios - David McBride

David McBride, Chief Operating Officer

Before assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2023, David led the Science, Technology, and Research Support Services III contract at NASA’s Langley Research Center (LaRC) from 2021-2023 and served as SSAI’s Vice President of Virginia Operations. David has also served several terms as president of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the National Contract Management Association.

Leadership Bios - Chris Williamson

Chris Williamson, Chief Strategy Officer

Chris has responsibility for shaping SSAI's strategic direction, growth, and communications. Before coming to work for the company, he worked for Newport News Shipbuilding, and at Jacobs for twenty-plus years. His service at Jacobs included leading the growth of the Government Technology Performance Operations unit and serving as a VP for more than three years.

Leadership Bios - Oreste Reale

Oreste Reale, Chief Corporate Scientist 

Dr. Reale oversees science conducted by SSAI researchers, a role he has filled since 2021. Prior to SSAI, he worked with the Universities Space Research Association, where he served as Director of a cooperative agreement with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) between 2019 and 2021, and Associate Director from 2015 to 2019. In addition to his leadership roles, he has performed research at NASA GSFC for more than 20 years, with a focus on atmospheric dynamics, hurricanes, weather forecasts, and data assimilation of hyperspectral infrared sensors. He has been a member of the NASA Sounder Research Team since 2010. His research interests include the general circulation, modeling and predictability of the Martian atmosphere.

Diedre “Dee” Jones, VP of Human Resources 

Dee is an executive-level human resources professional with over 24 years’ experience in HR and Government Contracting. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in human resources and several certifications, Dee leads SSAI’s strategic human resources functions and serves as the lead for our Corporate Social Responsibility pillar. She has been with SSAI for over twenty-four years.
