Leadership Bios - Praveen Bahethi

Praveen Bahethi, President

A personable and driven executive with a background in managing large and small technology firms in a variety of industries, Praveen became SSAI’s President in 2021 with the goal of returning the company to its focus on innovation in science and engineering. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a BS in Chemical Engineering, Praveen served in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned a Master in Science of Business Administration from Boston University before transitioning to the private sector. He has been a founder of multiple technology companies, having acquired and merged a variety of firms specializing in technology solutions. With an eye for efficiency and productivity, Praveen is committed to furthering his parents’ vision of working to improve the quality of life today and into the future.

Leadership Bios - Rachit Mahajan

Rachit Mahajan, Chief Financial Officer

Rachit joined SSAI’s leadership team in 2021 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him decades of experience in the areas of finance, government contracting, business, and taxation. Prior to joining SSAI, Rachit ran a financial consulting company, advising on mortgage lending, investing, finance, auditing, taxation, and other outsourced CFO services. With an educational background in finance, taxation, and commerce, Rachit has already applied his knowledge to improving legacy accounting systems and processes and looks forward to continuing to help the company grow.

Leadership Bios - David McBride

David McBride, Chief Operating Officer

Before assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2023, David led the Science, Technology, and Research Support Services III contract at NASA’s Langley Research Center (LaRC) from 2021-2023 and served as SSAI’s Vice President of Virginia Operations. He has supported NASA LaRC in various SSAI positions, since 2013. Prior to joining SSAI, David served with distinction in various Coast Guard leadership positions including his final tour as the Chief of Search and Rescue at Coast Guard Headquarters. In this role he served as the Chair of the National Search and Rescue Committee. He also chaired numerous sessions for the International COSPAS SARSAT Program, a satellite-aided search and rescue initiative, as well as the International Maritime Organization’s Search and Rescue Session. David has served several terms as president for the Hampton Roads’ Chapter of the National Contract Management Association.
